It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the Scientific Meeting on “Advanced Perioperative and Critical Care Management in Gynecologic Oncology,” to be held in Athens, Greece, on 10 October 2026, at the Athens Capital Hotel.This meeting is jointly organized by the Hellenic Society of Perioperative Care and the First Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, bringing together leading clinicians, researchers, and allied healthcare professionals committed to advancing perioperative and critical care for women with gynecologic cancer.The optimization of perioperative care has become a cornerstone of contemporary surgical practice, with growing evidence demonstrating its pivotal role in improving patient outcomes, accelerating recovery, and reducing postoperative morbidity. In gynecologic oncology, where patients frequently undergo complex surgical procedures and require individualized multidisciplinary care, the integration of evidence-based perioperative pathways with modern critical care principles is essential for delivering high-quality, patient-centered treatment.Throughout this Scientific Meeting, experts will present the latest evidence and emerging concepts across the continuum of perioperative management, including preoperative optimization, anesthetic and intraoperative strategies, postoperative recovery pathways, critical care management, nutritional support, pain management, and the multidisciplinary coordination required for the care of high-risk surgical patients. Particular emphasis will be placed on translating current evidence into everyday clinical practice while identifying areas where further research and innovation are needed.
